Advertisement Notice for engagement of contractual Assistant Professors at IUST

Applications through the online mode are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of contractual Assistant Professors as academic arrangement for teaching, research and allied academic activities in the following subjects:

Emoluments a. For candidates having 1. PG (excluding Arch) : Rs. 45,000/- per month 2. NET/SET/GATE : Rs. 48,000/- per month 3. Ph. D. : Rs. 50,000/- per month 4. NET/SET/GATE and Ph.D. : Rs. 50,000/- per month b. For candidates having 1. B. Arch/M. Arch. : Rs. 50,000/- per month II. Tenure The tenure of contract shall be three years or till the post is filled on permanent basis whichever is earlier. III. Leaves/Vacations As per University norms applicable to contractual employees. Furthermore, there shall be one-month vacation during winter with no pay unless otherwise his/her services are required by the University. IV. How to Apply: The eligible candidate shall apply online and download the filled application form. The hard copy of the form along with self-attested copies of all necessary documents, certificates, shall have to be submitted in the office of concerned Dean of School on any working day by or before the last date for submission of hardcopies, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be considered. V. Selection process The selection of a candidate shall be based on academic merit calculated as per UGC regulations 2018 (Table:3. A) and interview in ratio of 50:50. In case, the number of applications is more, the interview shall precede by shortlisting which shall be done on the basis of academic merit calculated as above. For one vacancy 20 candidates and for every subsequent vacancy 5 additional candidates shall be short listed for interview. VI.
