Kashmir University’s CCPC Organizes Orientation and Preparation Session for Assistant Director (E&S) Mains Qualifiers on Feb 27, 2025.

Kashmir University’s Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC) organized a highly informative Orientation and Preparation Session for the candidates who have qualified Assistant Director (E&S) Mains Examinations conducted by the JKPSC on February 27, 2025. The session aimed at equipping the participants with valuable insights and skills necessary for a successful interview process.

The CCPC has also scheduled Mock Interview for these candidates on 5th March & 15th March, 2025 respectively. This Orientation Session aims to prepare these candidates for the upcoming Mock Interview as well as the Interview to be conducted by JKPSC very soon. The event featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Shahnawaz Bukhari, Joint Director, Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Professor Tariq Chalkoo, Head of the Department of Physics, Government Degree College Baramulla, and Dr. Sheikh Khurshid-ul-Islam, Centre for Good Governance and Administrative Reforms, IMPA. Their collective expertise offered a comprehensive approach to interview preparation, communication skills, and overall professional orientation.

Mr. Shahnawaz Bukhari, during his address, emphasized the importance of preparing thoroughly for interviews, offering practical advice on how candidates can best present themselves to interview panels. He highlighted the need for confidence, clarity, and a deep understanding of the job description, along with the key areas of knowledge relevant to the position. Professor Tariq Chalkoo, concentrated on the significance of effective communication during interviews. He stressed the role of clear, concise, and impactful communication in shaping the candidate's image and enhancing their chances of success. He also shared strategies for managing stress and nerves during interviews, urging participants to stay composed and confident. Dr. Sheikh Khurshid-ul-Islam, focused on the broader aspects of professional development, offering insights into the expectations and challenges of working in administrative roles. He provided the participants with tips on how to prepare not just for the interview, but also for the actual responsibilities of the job.

Dr. Yahya Bakhtiyar, Deputy Director, CCPC in his welcome speech gave and insight about the CCPC, its mandate and vision, key objectives of the session besides welcoming the guests and the participants. The proceeding was carried out by Mr. Hakim Yasir Abbas, Coordinator CCPC and Ms. Fatimah Ali, Assistant Professor, CCPC presented the vote of thanks acknowledging the contributions of the speakers, organizers, and participants, with the CCPC reaffirming its commitment to supporting students and professionals in their career development
