Kashmir University’s CCPC Hosts Mock Interview Session for Assistant Director (E&S) Candidates on March 5, 2025
Srinagar, March 5, 2025 – Kashmir University’s Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC) organized a comprehensive Mock Interview Session for candidates who have successfully qualified the Assistant Director (E&S) Mains Examinations, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). The interview session was part of a three part program on ‘Tools and Strategies of Interview Preparation’ organized by CCPC, UoK with a view to provide the participants of the above mentioned examination with valuable insights and skills necessary to excel in the interview process. The orientation session on the above theme was held at CCPC, UoK on 27th February, 2025. The first Mock Interviews took place on 5th March, 2025 and the second Mock Interviews are scheduled to take place in the third week of March, 2025.
The Mock Interviews on 5th March, 2025 were conducted by two panels, with expert professionals offering their insights and feedback.
Panel I was led by:
- Mr. Latief u Zaman Deva, Former Chairperson, J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC)
- Mr. Shahzada Bilal, Former Director General, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, Govt. of J&K
- Prof. Khurshid Ul Islam, Centre for Good Governance & Administrative Reforms, J&K IMPA
- Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, University of Kashmir.
- Prof. M.A.K. Beigh, Professor, Department of Statistics, University of Kashmir
Panel II was led by:
- Mr. Farooq Ahmad Lone IAS (Retd.), Former Chairperson, J&K Public Service Commission,
- Mr. Khalid Majeed, Director, Industries & Commerce (Kashmir) Govt. of J&K.
- Mr. G.A. Qureshi, Former Director General, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, Govt. of J&K.
- Prof. Tariq Ahmad Chalkoo, Head, Department of Physics, GDC Baramulla
- Prof. Tariq Rashid Jan, Head, Department of Statistics, University of Kashmir
- Dr. Elizabeth Mariam, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, University of Kashmir.
The Mock Interview sessions were designed to offer a holistic approach to interview preparation, focusing on communication skills, presentation, and professional demeanor. The distinguished panelists shared their expertise, offering invaluable feedback to the candidates, helping them hone their interview techniques.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Yahya Bakhtiyar, Deputy Director, CCPC, University of Kashmir who was assisted by Ms. Fatimah Ali, Assistant Professor, CCPC, University of Kashmir and Mr. Hakim Yasir Abbas, Coordinator CCPC, University of Kashmir. They welcomed the guests and highlighted the session’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of interview readiness for career advancement.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks, recognizing the contributions of the interview panelists, organizers, and participants. The CCPC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students and professionals in their career development and providing them with opportunities to enhance their employability and professional skills.
