Campus recruitment of pharmacy graduates by Glenmark Pharmaceutical Ltd.



Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC) jointly organized campus recruitment by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for pharmacy graduates of the department on Thursday.  

Amit Jindal, Sales Manager and Gajender Koda, Regional Business Manager, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals interviewed  pharmacy graduates of the department for the positions of Area Sales Managers in J&K. A total of 5 candidates were selected by the company at the end of selection process.  

During his interaction with the company representatives Prof. Mubashir Hussain Masoodi, Head, Dept. of Pharm. Sciences stressed upon the need for conducting such placement of pass-outs on regular basis and pledged to invite more and more pharmaceutical companies in future so that the placement graph of the department goes up. He informed that the department has always had 100 per cent placement of its pass-outs in the past and therefore would strive hard to maintain that record in future. He also impressed upon the Glenmark representatives to explore more possibilities for recruitment of Pharmacy alumni in Research and Development and Quality Control divisions of their company. 

Director, Centre for Career Planning and Counselling and Placement Incharge of the department, Prof. Geer Mohammad Ishaq expressed satisfaction that last year 57 pharmacy graduates and post- graduates were recruited by Bangalore-based Quintiles IQVIA Pharma as Drug Safety Associates through CCPC and this year CCPC is in touch with with few more reputed Pharmaceutical Companies for the campus recruitment of Pharmacy graduates and post-graduates of KU. He further added that during the POST-COVID era there is huge scope for pharmacy graduates in view of boom in clinical research and pharmaceutical production sectors.
